From the press release:
The Kitchen presents Or Some Other Time, an exhibition by New York-based artist Vlatka Horvat. In her first solo exhibition in the United States, Horvat creates an uncanny environment of projected images, modified found objects, and architectural “propositions” in which the body and the space it occupies are presented as sites of delusion, collapse, and fragmentation while offering an alternative model for reinvention and play.
In the context of the exhibition, Horvat presents Once Over, a new live performance work in The Kitchen’s theater. Drawing on a vocabulary of everyday gestures and restrictive, self-imposed parameters, Horvat stages a miniaturized action for two performers and live video to create an unexpected encounter between performers and audience.
