Vlatka Horvat: Mijene (Changes / Tides) comprises four site-responsive works for the vaulted subterranean halls of the Diocletian’s Palace in Split, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built at the end of the 3rd century AD as a fortress, military garrison, and residence for the Roman emperor Diocletian. The new works conceived in dialogue with the space and realized in situ draw from the history of the Cellars as well as from their spatial and architectural characteristics. The exhibition stretches through several underground halls of the western wing of the Diocletian’s Cellars.
